A large Northeast regional bank is seeking a Head of Solutions Delivery to lead the strategic direction, execution, and operational excellence of enterprise technology delivery across the organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end technology solution delivery, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and driving scalable transformation initiatives that support long-term organizational growth.

The Head of Solutions Delivery will lead large delivery organizations spanning program management, business analysis, and implementation functions while partnering closely with executive stakeholders, technology leaders, and business units. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise technology delivery, banking transformation, operational leadership, and organizational scaling within highly regulated financial services environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and manage the Solutions Delivery organization, including:
    • Program Management
    • Business Analysis
    • Solution Implementation teams
  • Establish strategic direction and operational governance for enterprise technology delivery initiatives
  • Build scalable delivery capabilities supporting enterprise transformation and modernization programs

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute strategic technology delivery roadmaps across multiple business lines and enterprise functions
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans
  • Oversee planning, execution, and operationalization of large-scale, complex technology initiatives
  • Ensure alignment between technology investments, delivery priorities, and business goals

Delivery Governance & Operational Excellence

  • Establish and maintain delivery frameworks, governance models, methodologies, and best practices ensuring consistent, high-quality execution
  • Drive operational excellence through standardized delivery processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and performance optimization
  • Ensure projects and programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality and compliance standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks across the enterprise delivery portfolio while maintaining governance transparency

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing delivery organizations and leadership teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and execution excellence
  • Drive organizational capability development across program management, delivery operations, and strategic execution disciplines
  • Support succession planning, talent development, and delivery leadership maturity across the organization

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology organizations
  • Deliver executive reporting and portfolio-level updates regarding delivery performance, transformation progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Manage vendor relationships, third-party delivery organizations, and strategic technology partners
  • Influence enterprise decision-making and drive alignment across highly matrixed environments

Financial & Resource Management

  • Oversee enterprise delivery budgets, resource allocation, forecasting, and operational planning across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Optimize delivery capacity, utilization, and investment prioritization to maximize business value and execution efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology delivery, program management, or related leadership roles
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale delivery organizations and enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale technology programs within banking or financial services environments
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Agile methodologies
    • Enterprise delivery frameworks
    • Operational governance models
  • Strong financial services and banking industry expertise required
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Experience managing enterprise budgets, resources, and multi-program delivery portfolios
  • Excellent executive communication and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, SAFe, or equivalent project/program management certification
  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization, digital banking transformation, or operational optimization initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, and technology platform modernization
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance within regulated banking environments
  • Experience leading distributed or geographically diverse delivery organizations
  • Ability to drive cultural transformation and operational maturity at enterprise scale
