A credit union serving US military families is seeking a Program Manager III to lead complex enterprise initiatives that support strategic business objectives and operational excellence across the organization.

This role is responsible for overseeing large-scale programs from initiation through completion while coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful delivery of critical business initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong program management expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive execution across dynamic and collaborative environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple complex programs and strategic initiatives from initiation through implementation and completion
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans including:
    • Scope management
    • Scheduling and milestone tracking
    • Budget oversight
    • Resource planning
    • Risk management strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful delivery outcomes
  • Monitor program progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies while implementing mitigation strategies
  • Provide regular program status updates, executive reporting, and delivery insights to leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget expectations
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across multiple departments, business units, and operational teams
  • Manage program interdependencies and integration points across concurrent initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in program management and operational execution
  • Mentor and support junior program managers and project team members to strengthen delivery capabilities and organizational maturity
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field required
  • 7+ years of program or project management experience
  • Proven track record successfully managing large-scale, complex programs and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong understanding of enterprise program management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships in matrixed environments
  • Proficiency with program management tools, reporting systems, and collaboration platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification
  • Financial services, banking, or credit union industry experience preferred
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, operational improvement, or strategic execution initiatives
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and delivery oversight practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Experience mentoring and developing delivery teams
