A large Mid-Atlantic regional bank is seeking a Program Management Manager to support strategic initiatives across its Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) and Asset Management Group (AMG) divisions.
This role is responsible for leading complex enterprise programs that align with business strategy, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements. The Program Management Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee delivery execution, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure successful outcomes across highly visible strategic initiatives within banking and asset management environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong program leadership capabilities, financial services expertise, and the ability to drive execution and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programs and initiatives across C&IB and AMG business lines
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans including:
- Scope definition
- Timelines and milestones
- Resource allocation
- Budget management
- Risk mitigation strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and delivery expectations
- Monitor program performance, identify issues and risks, and implement corrective actions and escalation strategies as needed
- Provide executive-level reporting, status updates, and governance communications to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure initiatives align with business strategy, enterprise governance, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and resource utilization across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Foster collaboration and communication across banking business units, technology teams, operations, and support functions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on program management methodologies, governance, and operational execution practices
- Mentor and develop program management team members while promoting a culture of accountability and delivery excellence
- Support enterprise transformation and operational modernization initiatives within C&IB and AMG organizations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in program management within financial services or related industries
- Proven track record successfully managing large-scale, complex programs and enterprise initiatives
- Strong understanding of:
- Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB)
- Asset Management operations
- Banking delivery and governance frameworks
- Strong project and program management expertise with proficiency in delivery methodologies and enterprise PM tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Exceptional communication, executive reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence teams and stakeholders without direct authority in highly matrixed environments
- Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams and enterprise initiatives
- Knowledge of banking regulations, governance standards, and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or equivalent project/program management certification
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation, operational improvement, or strategic banking initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile, Hybrid, or enterprise PMO delivery methodologies
- Experience managing multi-workstream programs involving technology, operations, and business stakeholders
- Strong understanding of enterprise governance, risk management, and operational controls within financial services organizations
- Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic and fast-paced environments
