A tier-one global bank is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives and enterprise programs within its Parametric division.
This role is responsible for driving large-scale, cross-functional programs that support business growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation across investment and wealth management operations. The Principal Program Manager will collaborate closely with senior leadership, technology organizations, operations teams, compliance groups, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives within a fast-paced and highly regulated financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep program management expertise, strong investment or asset management domain knowledge, and a proven ability to lead enterprise-level initiatives involving technology transformation and operational modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Program Leadership
- Lead and manage large-scale, enterprise-level programs from initiation through successful delivery
- Drive strategic initiatives supporting business transformation, operational scalability, and organizational priorities within the Parametric division
- Partner with senior leadership to define program strategy, objectives, success metrics, and execution roadmaps
Program Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans including:
- Scope definition
- Timeline and milestone management
- Resource allocation
- Budget coordination
- Risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with enterprise quality standards and governance expectations
- Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams and complex dependencies across enterprise delivery teams
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate across:
- Technology teams
- Operations organizations
- Compliance groups
- Business units
- External stakeholders as needed
- Facilitate communication, alignment, and decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups and organizational functions
- Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain strong partnerships throughout the program lifecycle
Risk Management & Operational Excellence
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, dependencies, and operational roadblocks proactively
- Monitor program performance against KPIs, milestones, and business objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, operational efficiency, and governance maturity
- Support enterprise operational excellence and transformation initiatives across the division
Executive Reporting & Governance
- Deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and governance updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to enterprise program management methodologies, governance standards, and delivery best practices
- Support strategic planning and enterprise governance activities through data-driven insights and reporting
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and guide junior program managers and project team members
- Foster a collaborative, execution-focused, and results-oriented delivery culture
- Promote best practices across program management disciplines and enterprise delivery frameworks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of program or project management experience within financial services environments
- Proven track record successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale programs and strategic initiatives
- Strong understanding of:
- Investment management
- Wealth management
- Asset management operations
- Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and influencing capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and influence without direct authority
- Experience managing technology-driven programs, system implementations, and operational transformation initiatives
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification preferred
- Proficiency with:
- Agile methodologies
- Waterfall frameworks
- Hybrid delivery models
- Enterprise program management tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- Experience within:
- Investment advisory organizations
- Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) environments
- Wealth platform operations
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within wealth and asset management industries
- Experience supporting digital transformation and operational modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with enterprise governance, compliance, and operational risk management frameworks
