A US bank is seeking a VP Enterprise Project Manager IV to lead strategic enterprise initiatives and oversee the successful execution of large-scale projects across the organization.
This senior-level leadership role is responsible for managing complex enterprise programs from initiation through completion while ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements. The VP Enterprise Project Manager IV will work closely with executive leadership, technology organizations, operations teams, and business stakeholders to drive enterprise transformation and operational excellence within a dynamic banking environment.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise project management, governance, financial services operations, and cross-functional leadership within highly regulated organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Project Leadership
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale, complex enterprise projects from initiation through implementation and closure
- Drive strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives, operational priorities, and transformation goals
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with enterprise quality standards
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including:
- Scope management
- Schedule and milestone tracking
- Budget oversight
- Resource allocation
- Risk and issue management strategies
- Coordinate execution across multiple workstreams, business units, and technology organizations
- Monitor project performance against KPIs, milestones, and delivery objectives
Governance & Risk Management
- Establish and maintain enterprise project governance frameworks aligned with organizational methodologies and standards
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and operational issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with:
- Banking regulations
- Enterprise governance policies
- Risk management standards
- Internal controls
- Drive escalation management and facilitate executive decision-making processes when required
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders across:
- Business units
- Technology organizations
- Operations teams
- Vendors and external partners
- Facilitate collaboration, alignment, and communication across highly matrixed enterprise environments
- Build strong relationships with executive leadership and key enterprise stakeholders
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage enterprise project budgets exceeding $5M, ensuring optimal resource utilization and financial discipline
- Oversee forecasting, budget tracking, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Support operational and financial reporting activities for enterprise programs and transformation initiatives
Reporting & Operational Excellence
- Deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, governance updates, and strategic communications to senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
- Project management maturity
- Delivery effectiveness
- Operational efficiency
- Governance optimization
- Promote enterprise project management best practices and delivery standards across the organization
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience within financial services or banking organizations
- Proven track record successfully delivering large-scale, complex enterprise projects and strategic initiatives
- Strong understanding of:
- Agile methodologies
- Waterfall frameworks
- Hybrid delivery models
- Enterprise governance practices
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential required
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency with enterprise project management tools and reporting platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing project budgets exceeding $5M
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced and highly regulated environments

- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
