A tier-one global bank is seeking a Program/Project Manager to support its RIO Operations organization by leading operational programs and strategic initiatives across the enterprise.

This role is responsible for managing multiple operational projects from initiation through execution while ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, and enterprise governance standards. The Program/Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional business units, operations teams, technology organizations, and senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and support strategic transformation efforts.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in program and project management within financial services operations, along with excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead and manage multiple operational programs and projects from initiation through completion
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives supporting RIO Operations and enterprise operational objectives
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities and governance standards

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including:
    • Scope definition
    • Timelines and milestones
    • Resource allocation
    • Risk mitigation strategies
    • Dependency management
  • Coordinate execution activities across multiple workstreams and business functions
  • Track project performance and maintain alignment with established delivery goals and success metrics

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with stakeholders across:
    • Business units
    • Operations organizations
    • Technology teams
    • Vendors and third-party partners to define project objectives, deliverables, and execution strategies
  • Facilitate communication between technical and business teams to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build strong working relationships across matrixed organizational structures

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and operational challenges proactively
  • Escalate critical concerns and dependencies to senior leadership as appropriate
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, operational controls, and enterprise best practices

Operational Improvement & Governance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within RIO Operations focused on:
    • Process optimization
    • Delivery efficiency
    • Operational effectiveness
    • Governance maturity
  • Support operational transformation efforts and implementation of best practices across project delivery activities

Reporting & Communication

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates, dashboards, and executive reporting to senior management
  • Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, and operational reporting aligned with enterprise standards
  • Support leadership decision-making through clear, concise, and actionable project communications

Vendor & External Partner Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party dependencies supporting operational initiatives
  • Coordinate external resources to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or similar project management certification
