A large national consumer bank is seeking a Director, Project Management to join its team.
Location: Plano, TX
The Director, Project Management will lead strategic initiatives and drive project execution across the organization. This role requires a seasoned professional who can manage complex, cross-functional projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects from initiation through delivery
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organization to define project objectives and success criteria
- Drive project governance and ensure adherence to established methodologies and standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
- Manage project teams and coordinate resources across multiple functions
- Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting on project progress
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project management practice
- Mentor and develop project management talent within the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, enterprise-level projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred
- Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization
Compensation: $187,300 – $213,700
