A tier-one global bank is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead critical initiatives within Payments Operations.
Hybrid- 3 days in office/2 days remote

About the Role
This contract position will drive strategic program execution and operational excellence within the payments domain. The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for managing complex, cross-functional initiatives that enhance payments processing capabilities and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program management for payments operations initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders including technology, operations, compliance, and business teams
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
- Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize payments operations workflows
- Facilitate communication and reporting to senior leadership on program status, risks, and outcomes
- Manage dependencies and resolve conflicts across concurrent workstreams
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls throughout program execution
- Partner with technology teams to implement system enhancements and automation solutions
- Monitor program metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in program management within payments operations or financial services
- Strong understanding of payments processing systems, workflows, and industry standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex programs with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or similar program management certification
- Experience with payments modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting payments operations
- Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations
