Location: New York, NY
Work arrangement: On-site
Work type: Contract
Compensation: DOE
This is a 12-month contract with a hybrid expectation of 4 days onsite per week.
Overview:
The ideal candidate will come from a consulting or strategy and execution background and be comfortable stepping into complex, fast-moving initiatives with limited direction. This individual will act as a key interface across the broader platform, helping leadership prioritize initiatives, define approaches, align stakeholders, and move critical work forward.
Key Responsibilities:
*Strategy & Execution: Partner with senior leadership to define strategic approaches, translate priorities into actionable plans, and drive execution across a wide range of platform initiatives.
* Strategic Project Support: Step into high-priority and in-flight initiatives, quickly understand objectives, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder dynamics, and establish a clear path forward.
* Executive Communication: Develop polished, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations, strategy reviews, briefing materials, and leadership communications that synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and decisions.
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as an interface between the Structured Debt Platform and broader business, technology, operations, and enterprise teams to ensure priorities and requirements remain aligned.
* Stakeholder Management: Work directly with senior stakeholders to gather information, clarify priorities, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and help drive alignment and decisions.
* Strategic Planning: Help frame new initiatives, define objectives and approaches, identify key milestones and dependencies, and prepare teams for leadership and stakeholder discussions.
* **Portfolio Execution:** Support leadership across a broad portfolio of initiatives, taking ownership of select projects and workstreams to help distribute execution responsibilities and maintain momentum.
* **Business & Platform Initiatives:** Support initiatives spanning areas such as business strategy, product strategy, workforce planning, mergers, KPIs and metrics, risk and controls, technology changes, and enterprise-wide programs.
* **Enterprise Program Alignment:** Evaluate how broader enterprise initiatives impact the Structured Debt Platform and help determine timelines, requirements, and execution plans for the platform.
* Problem Solving & Analysis: Quickly absorb unfamiliar subject matter, synthesize large amounts of information, identify key themes and risks, and develop practical recommendations for leadership.
Qualifications:
* 5–8+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, strategy and execution, transformation, or a related field within a complex organization.
* Demonstrated experience driving strategic initiatives and projects from planning through execution.
* Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with significant experience developing PowerPoint presentations and materials for senior stakeholders.
* Experience working within financial services or another highly complex, regulated industry.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and direct stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority.
* Proven ability to plan projects, define approaches, establish priorities, and drive execution without extensive oversight.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and precision.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and quickly ramp up on unfamiliar business areas.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience:
* Background in management consulting or strategy consulting strongly preferred.
* Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams on strategic initiatives.
* Experience within structured debt, lending, loans, asset servicing, capital markets, or other complex financial services platforms.
* Experience working in a platform-based or matrixed organization with initiatives spanning multiple business and technology teams.
* Experience developing and leading strategy reviews, executive presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
* Familiarity with enterprise-wide transformation or technology initiatives and the ability to translate broader organizational requirements into platform-specific execution plans.
* Experience working with KPIs, risk and controls, product strategy, workforce planning, or business transformation initiatives.
Why Join:
This is an opportunity to work directly with senior leadership on high-visibility strategic initiatives within a complex Structured Debt Platform. Rather than owning a single project or function, you will have exposure to a broad portfolio of initiatives and the opportunity to influence how strategic priorities are shaped and executed across the organization. You'll serve as a trusted strategic partner, helping leadership bring structure to complex problems, prepare for critical stakeholder discussions, and move important initiatives from strategy to execution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, ambiguity, executive exposure, and solving new problems rather than working within a narrowly defined project scope. The position also offers the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one, with strong potential for conversion into a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
