A regional bank is undertaking a major core banking platform migration from FIS HORIZON to FIS IBS and is seeking a Business Analyst with Retail Banking experience to support this transformation. This role is integral to ensuring business requirements, product configurations, and data mappings are accurately documented and aligned to support a successful conversion.
The Business Analyst will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and report to the Lead Business Architect, collaborating across business and technology teams to drive clarity, consistency, and readiness throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document retail banking products, workflows, and system touchpoints.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to capture current-state processes and define future-state requirements.
- Support data mapping between legacy (HORIZON) and target (IBS) core systems.
- Contribute to gap analysis, use-case development, and impact assessments.
- Maintain requirements traceability matrices and support validation during testing phases.
- Ensure alignment across Retail Operations, Product, and Compliance teams throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, including deposits, consumer lending, and digital channels.
- Experience supporting core banking migrations, preferably involving FIS HORIZON or FIS IBS.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into detailed, structured documentation.
- Proven skills in process modeling, data mapping, and stakeholder communication.
- English language proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with FIS systems, particularly HORIZON and IBS.
- Exposure to digital banking platforms and branch operations.
- Experience supporting testing and validation activities during system conversions.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Excel, or SQL.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings as needed.
