A regional bank is executing a core banking system migration from FIS HORIZON to FIS IBS and is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Commercial Banking expertise to support this transformation. This role is central to documenting commercial banking products, workflows, and data mappings to ensure a smooth and compliant conversion.
The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager and report to the Lead Business Architect, working across business, technology, and risk teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements across Commercial Lending, Treasury, and Cash Managementfunctions.
- Lead workshops and working sessions with subject matter experts to assess current-state workflows.
- Define commercial product attributes and support end-to-end data mapping between HORIZON and IBS.
- Identify business gaps, dependencies, and risks; contribute to impact assessments.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to validate requirements during testing phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation, version control, and audit-ready artifacts throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial Banking environments.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending products, treasury management, and deposit structures.
- Hands-on experience supporting core banking migrations, preferably involving FIS HORIZON or FIS IBS.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Risk, and IT teams.
- English language proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with FIS platforms, including HORIZON and IBS.
- Prior experience with data conversion and reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and commercial loan servicing.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity in large, multi-stream transformation programs.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, SQL, Visio, or Lucidchart.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — primarily remote, with occasional onsite meetings as needed.
