A community bank is undertaking a core banking system migration from FIS Horizon to FIS IBS and is seeking an experienced Core Banking Business Analyst to support this transformation. This role is essential to ensuring business requirements, data mappings, and operational workflows are clearly defined and aligned to support a successful migration and go-live.
The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to translate banking needs into functional specifications and support testing and implementation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to core banking operations.
- Support Horizon-to-IBS migration activities, including data analysis and process alignment.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Work across banking channels including deposits, loans, general ledger, and payments.
- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL and related tools.
- Support testing, defect resolution, and validation activities during system conversion.
- Assist with training, go-live preparation, and post-implementation support.
- Ensure requirements and processes align with regulatory and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting core banking system migrations, particularly involving FIS Horizon and/or FIS IBS.
- Strong understanding of core banking products and operations (deposits, loans, GL, payments).
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into structured documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with FIS core banking platforms, especially Horizon and IBS.
- Familiarity with KYC/KYB processes and banking regulatory requirements.
- Experience using BPM tools or process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
- Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and querying.
- Experience supporting testing, integration, and go-live activities.

Mostly remote with occasional onsite
