A regional bank in the Midwest is undertaking a core banking platform migration to TCS BaNCS and is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Payments domain expertise to support this critical transformation. This role focuses on the payments module, ensuring accurate requirements gathering, gap analysis, and successful implementation of payment processing on the new platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the Payments domain (ACH, wires, bill pay, real-time payments, card transactions).
- Conduct gap analysis between current payment processes and TCS BaNCS capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Collaborate with Operations, Treasury, and technology teams to validate payment workflows.
- Support data mapping and migration activities for payment configurations, routing, and transaction history.
- Assist with testing coordination, UAT planning, and defect triage for payment functionality.
- Ensure alignment with payment network rules and regulatory requirements (NACHA, Fedwire, etc.).
- Provide training support and documentation for end users.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of business analysis experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong domain knowledge of payment systems and operations (ACH, wires, RTP, card networks).
- Experience supporting core banking migrations or implementations.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TCS BaNCS or similar core banking platforms.
- Background with regional or mid-size U.S. banks.
- Knowledge of payment hubs, ISO 20022, and real-time payment rails.
- Familiarity with data migration and conversion methodologies.
- Experience with NACHA rules and wire transfer regulations.
