A large regional U.S. bank is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support strategic initiatives within its core banking technology portfolio.
This role partners closely with business units, operations teams, and enterprise technology groups to drive the delivery of complex initiatives across the full project lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, planning, development, and implementation.
The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams responsible for delivering operational improvements and technology capabilities tied to core banking channels, enterprise applications, and supporting data frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex banking technology initiatives.
- Partner with business units and enterprise technology teams to identify operational efficiencies and new capabilities.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across applications, data, and operational processes.
- Facilitate governance meetings, executive reporting, and stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure alignment between business processes, banking applications, and enterprise data architecture.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive project planning sessions and implementation readiness reviews.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and enterprise technology environments.
- Experience delivering large-scale technology or transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage matrixed teams across business and technology functions.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within structured project delivery frameworks.
Work Arrangement
Onsite – Charlotte, North Carolina.
