A regional Western bank based in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise-level technology initiatives across data analytics and digital banking programs. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive strategic outcomes, maintain operational excellence, and support the organization’s governance and risk management objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple enterprise projects across data analytics and digital banking initiatives.
- Develop business cases for executive review and approval.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and expected outcomes.
- Plan, monitor, and adjust project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies; coordinate resolution of complex issues.
- Track and report project progress, performance metrics, and status updates.
- Coordinate with IT resource managers and external partners to ensure proper staffing across project phases.
- Ensure adherence to project methodologies, standards, and governance processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT project management experience.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools (e.g., MS Project, Sciforma).
- Experience in financial services environments, including:
- Core banking systems
- Data management
- Payments and transactions
- Loan processing and fraud management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification.
- Experience managing teams or direct reports.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SharePoint or TA systems.
- Proven ability to manage long-term, multi-phase enterprise transformation projects.
- Experience working in complex, regulated banking environments.
