A large Northeast regional bank is seeking a strategic program management professional to lead the Program Management Office for a critical distribution transformation initiative. This role is central to modernizing distribution capabilities, ensuring alignment across business and technology functions, and driving successful execution of enterprise-wide strategic programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for the Evolve & Integrate Distribution initiative
- Define and implement program governance frameworks, standards, and processes
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, and roadmaps across multiple workstreams
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business, technology, and operations teams
- Monitor program health, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide executive-level reporting on program status, milestones, and key decisions
- Manage program-level resource planning and allocation
- Drive accountability for deliverables across workstream leads
- Establish and track KPIs and success metrics
- Lead change management initiatives and stakeholder communication strategies
- Facilitate steering committees and executive decision-making forums
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, technology standards, and strategic priorities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of program or project management experience in financial services or related industries
- 5+ years leading large-scale, complex transformation programs
- Proven experience establishing and leading Program Management Offices
- Strong understanding of distribution channels, sales operations, or customer experience domains
- Expertise in program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence)
- Fluency in English required
Preferred Skills:
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience in banking, wealth management, or financial services distribution
- Background in digital transformation or technology modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting distribution operations
- Experience with organizational change management frameworks
- Familiarity with SAFe or other Agile scaling frameworks
- Experience supporting long-term enterprise transformation programs
