A large Northeast regional bank is seeking a Program Manager, Evolve & Integrate Distribution (EID), to establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) and drive disciplined, end-to-end execution of a complex, multi-year transformation initiative. This role serves as the execution backbone of a large-scale enterprise program, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into actionable plans, risks are proactively managed, and outcomes are delivered with speed and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Program PMO Leadership
- Establish and lead the Program Management Office, including governance frameworks, operating cadence, tools, and reporting standards
- Define and enforce consistent program management disciplines across all workstreams
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of program and project managers
Integrated Planning & Execution
- Translate strategic priorities into integrated enterprise roadmaps with clear milestones and ownership
- Manage interdependencies across workstreams including network strategy, branch transformation, experience design, technology enablement, and talent initiatives
- Ensure plans remain aligned as priorities evolve and new initiatives are introduced
Governance, Risk & Decision Support
- Design and facilitate governance forums and executive decision-making processes
- Identify risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints, providing actionable recommendations
- Partner with senior leadership to resolve blockers and maintain program momentum
Performance Management & Transparency
- Establish success metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for leadership visibility
- Deliver fact-based updates for executive reviews, business updates, and board-level discussions
- Ensure program reporting is consistent, transparent, and decision-oriented
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of program or project management experience within financial services or similar environments
- Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-year transformation programs
- Demonstrated success establishing and leading Program Management Offices
- Strong expertise in program governance, planning, and execution disciplines
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Ability to manage complex, interdependent initiatives in a matrixed organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in distribution transformation, branch optimization, or customer experience initiatives
- Background in digital transformation or enterprise modernization programs
- Familiarity with financial services regulatory requirements
- Experience building and scaling PMO organizations
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities
- Experience supporting long-term enterprise transformation programs
