A US bank is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead and deliver complex business and technical projects spanning multiple organizations. This role is critical in driving core banking technology and platform leadership initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery of scalable, secure, and innovative solutions within a fintech and digital payments environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs from inception through deployment
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Define high-level technical requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to drive solution design and implementation
  • Oversee multiple interrelated project workstreams, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders
  • Enforce and improve product and project lifecycle processes in compliance with audit, risk, and regulatory standards
  • Monitor program progress, track metrics, and report status to executive leadership
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate program risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Influence technical decision-making and provide strategic insights to ensure successful outcomes
  • Collaborate across CXO-level organizations to deliver solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality systems and platforms

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale technical programs across multiple organizations
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and program management methodologies
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in technology-driven environments
  • Experience defining technical requirements and working closely with engineering teams
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, audit, and compliance processes
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Experience delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Ability to influence technical and business leaders at all levels
  • Fluency in English required

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in fintech, digital payments, or core banking technology environments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern engineering practices
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Background in large-scale platform transformation or modernization initiatives
  • Experience supporting long-term enterprise technology programs
  • Strong understanding of product and engineering lifecycle processes
