A US credit union is seeking a Vice President, Banking Platforms to lead the implementation, management, and optimization of enterprise banking systems. This role is critical in ensuring core banking, digital platforms, CRM, and loan/account systems effectively support business operations and member experience. The VP will act as a key liaison between business, IT, and vendor partners, driving platform performance, innovation, and alignment with strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and performance of core banking, digital banking, CRM, and loan/account systems
  • Ensure platforms are stable, secure, and compliant with regulatory and industry standards
  • Lead implementation of new features, enhancements, and platform capabilities
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with IT and product teams
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for platform-related initiatives
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendor partners
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on platform performance and initiatives
  • Identify and lead business process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and member experience
  • Analyze data and user feedback to prioritize enhancements and inform product roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, workflows, and configurations
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Represent the organization in industry forums and stay current on banking technology trends

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience managing enterprise banking platforms within a financial institution
  • Strong expertise in core banking systems, digital banking platforms, CRM systems, and/or loan/account origination systems
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technology initiatives
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and security requirements in financial services
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working in Agile environments and managing multi-team initiatives

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in credit union or community banking environments
  • Familiarity with modern banking technologies, APIs, and platform integrations
  • Experience with digital transformation or core system modernization initiatives
  • Strong vendor management and partnership experience
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
  • Experience supporting long-term enterprise platform transformation programs
