A US bank is seeking a Program Manager to oversee projects and programs across the full development lifecycle within Corporate Actions and Tax Systems. This role is critical in driving execution of complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with investment strategy, and delivering high-quality outcomes across business and technology teams. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring successful delivery of system enhancements and operational improvements.


Key Responsibilities:

Program & Project Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of projects and programs from requirements through production
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Drive delivery across small, medium, and large inter-disciplinary initiatives
  • Facilitate trade-off decisions across scope, cost, quality, and timelines

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Partner with Corporate Actions and Tax stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and success criteria
  • Act as liaison between business teams, technology teams, vendors, and contractors
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to sponsors and senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment across all parties

Risk, Issue & Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively
  • Manage issue resolution and act as escalation point for critical production incidents
  • Oversee change control processes for high-risk system and process changes
  • Lead secure coding vulnerability remediation efforts for distributed (Java-based) applications

Planning, Strategy & Governance

  • Coordinate strategic development, operational planning, and implementation of programs
  • Support development of business cases, budgets, and ROI analyses
  • Ensure alignment of project objectives with overall program strategy
  • Consolidate work plans, schedules, and resource plans into a unified program view
  • Define and negotiate project success criteria with stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing complex programs and projects within financial services
  • Strong expertise in project management methodologies and lifecycle management
  • Experience working with Corporate Actions, Tax Systems, or similar financial platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience handling high-risk system changes and production environments
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in investment operations, asset servicing, or capital markets environments
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and Java-based application environments
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Experience supporting regulatory or compliance-driven initiatives
  • Background in enterprise transformation or system modernization programs
  • Strong vendor and third-party management experience
