A US community bank is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of innovative banking technology solutions. This role is critical in driving end-to-end execution of complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will combine strong project and program management expertise with technical acumen to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality solutions across multiple teams and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end project execution from initiation through closeout
  • Develop and manage integrated delivery plans including scope, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with regulatory and operational requirements

Project Planning, Controls & Governance

  • Establish delivery controls including RAID logs, decision logs, dependency tracking, and change control
  • Lead execution cadences such as standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness
  • Provide executive-level status reporting with clear actions and follow-through
  • Maintain governance processes to protect scope, timelines, and quality

Stakeholder Management & Requirements Alignment

  • Facilitate workshops with business, compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders
  • Define objectives, deliverables, assumptions, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate business requirements into actionable epics and user stories
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability from requirements through testing and release

Program & Cross-Workstream Coordination

  • Manage program-level planning across multiple workstreams and releases
  • Ensure alignment with business outcomes, regulatory timelines, and technology strategy
  • Monitor program health across schedule, scope, quality, and benefits realization
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project and/or program management within financial services or regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing delivery in highly controlled, regulatory environments

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in banking technology, digital banking, or core banking systems
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Experience working with business systems teams and third-party vendors
  • Strong understanding of software development and release lifecycles
  • Experience supporting transformation or modernization initiatives
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery execution
