A large Midwest regional bank is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-visibility, complex initiatives across the enterprise. This role is critical in driving the successful delivery of medium to large-scale projects that span multiple business units and technology platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage enterprise project methodologies to ensure projects are executed efficiently, aligned with business goals, and deliver measurable value.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-risk, and high-visibility projects
  • Define project scope, deliverables, budgets, and schedules in partnership with business sponsors
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans across multiple workstreams
  • Ensure successful delivery aligned with business and IT strategic objectives

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams
  • Assemble and lead project teams, ensuring alignment and accountability
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Ensure team members are informed, engaged, and effectively managed

Risk, Change & Performance Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively
  • Manage change requests and ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Monitor project performance and communicate status updates regularly
  • Ensure project deliverables meet customer and business requirements

Process & Governance

  • Apply enterprise project management methodologies and standards
  • Support IT business segment goals through effective project delivery
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or related roles
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Skills:

  • PMI certification (PMP or equivalent)
  • Experience creating and managing project schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity with enterprise project management processes and standards
  • Strong presence and ability to communicate IT concepts effectively
  • Self-starter with adaptability, attention to quality, and ability to work independently
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation or modernization initiatives
