A tier-one global bank is seeking a Program Manager Officer within Wealth Management Operations to lead critical strategic initiatives focused on innovation, operational transformation, and technology enablement across the WM Operations organization.
This Vice President-level role is responsible for driving enterprise program execution, operational governance, and strategic alignment across multiple workstreams while delivering executive-level transparency into program health, risks, budgets, and outcomes. The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Technology, Client Service, and business leadership teams to scale strategic solutions that improve operational efficiency, client experience, and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Execution Oversight
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of strategic programs across Wealth Management Operations
- Define and manage program timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and execution roadmaps
- Oversee resource allocation and program budgets to maximize delivery effectiveness and operational impact
- Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams while ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and governance standards
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate cross-project risks, dependencies, and operational concerns
- Establish escalation frameworks, issue management processes, and contingency planning strategies
- Analyze complex and ambiguous operational issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution through completion
- Ensure operational and compliance considerations are embedded throughout program execution
Executive Reporting & Governance
- Develop executive dashboards, reporting frameworks, and program health metrics for senior leadership visibility
- Deliver concise, data-driven updates on delivery progress, risks, outcomes, and strategic milestones
- Implement standardized governance models, reporting standards, and operational controls across programs
- Support executive decision-making through analytics, insights, and performance reporting
Strategic Alignment & Operational Excellence
- Ensure programs align with Wealth Management Operations strategic priorities and transformation objectives
- Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Client Service, and infrastructure teams to align business goals and delivery outcomes
- Promote cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational best practices
- Support innovation and technology initiatives that scale operational capabilities and improve client experience
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, infrastructure teams, and external stakeholders across client and market organizations
- Act as a trusted advisor supporting operational transformation and execution strategy initiatives
- Foster alignment between operational teams, governance functions, and leadership stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Technology, or related field
- Strong experience leading enterprise programs, operational initiatives, or transformation efforts within Wealth Management or financial services environments
- Front-to-back understanding of Wealth Management Operations processes, systems, projects, markets, and financial instruments
- Experience managing large-scale cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Technology, and Client Service organizations
- Strong program governance, risk management, and operational execution capabilities
- Experience developing executive-level dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, and highly regulated environments
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
- Commercial mindset with ability to understand business impact and strategic priorities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting operational transformation, innovation, or technology modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with Wealth Management operational workflows, client servicing models, and governance frameworks
- Strong understanding of operational risk management and compliance processes
- Experience implementing enterprise governance and reporting standards
- Ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across matrixed organizations
- Experience managing vendor or external business partner relationships
