A large national consumer bank is seeking a Director, Technical Program Management to lead enterprise technology programs that deliver critical business outcomes and build large-scale product platforms. This leadership role is responsible for driving execution across complex technical initiatives while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale technical programs supporting enterprise product platforms and strategic business initiatives
- Drive end-to-end execution across complex cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Data Science teams to define delivery strategies and execution priorities
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks throughout the program lifecycle
- Simplify complex technical challenges and drive informed decision-making across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Build and scale Technical Program Management (TPM) practices, frameworks, and governance models
- Lead, mentor, and develop teams of Technical Program Managers while fostering a culture of execution excellence and accountability
- Manage dependencies, delivery timelines, execution risks, and stakeholder communications across multiple teams and organizations
- Drive delivery of highly scalable, resilient, and cloud-native systems and platforms
- Support Agile-based product and engineering delivery methodologies across enterprise technology initiatives
- Influence executive stakeholders and secure alignment across organizational boundaries to drive measurable business impact
- Champion collaboration, transparency, and operational excellence across technical delivery organizations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing technical programs
- Strong technical background designing and building scalable platforms, systems, or services
- Proven ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical delivery risks
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a systems-thinking mindset
- Experience leading cross-functional enterprise technology initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to influence teams and stakeholders across organizational boundaries
- Strong focus on execution, accountability, and measurable outcomes
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build strong working relationships across teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive distributed computing solutions
- 3+ years of experience building highly available distributed systems using cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS
- 3+ years of experience supporting highly scalable mobile product platforms
- 3+ years of Agile delivery experience
- Experience owning business or technical vision for large-scale enterprise programs
- Proven ability to unblock teams and drive delivery across complex initiatives
- Experience building systems and technology solutions within highly regulated environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
