A large Northeast regional bank is seeking a Program Manager, Evolve & Integrate Distribution (E ID) to establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for one of the organization’s most complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
This senior leadership role serves as the operational backbone of the E ID transformation agenda, driving disciplined execution, integrated planning, governance, and transparency across multiple strategic workstreams. The initiative spans network strategy, branch modernization, experience design, operating model transformation, technology enablement, and talent activation across enterprise business lines and partner organizations.
The Program Manager will partner closely with executive leadership and enterprise stakeholders to ensure E ID operates as a coordinated transformation program rather than a collection of disconnected initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong enterprise PMO leadership, transformation execution expertise, and the ability to drive accountability across highly matrixed organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Program PMO Leadership
- Establish and lead the E ID Program Management Office including governance structures, operating cadences, tools, standards, reporting, and execution frameworks
- Define and enforce enterprise program management disciplines across all E ID workstreams including:
- Integrated planning
- Milestone management
- Dependency tracking
- Risk management
- Issue escalation and resolution
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing PMO team as transformation scope expands
- Drive execution rigor, accountability, and operational transparency across the transformation portfolio
Integrated Planning & Execution
- Translate E ID strategy and priorities into an integrated enterprise transformation roadmap with clear sequencing, milestones, ownership, and dependencies
- Manage complex interdependencies across workstreams including:
- Network planning
- Branch activations
- Experience transformation
- Operating model redesign
- Technology enablement
- Talent activation initiatives
- Ensure plans remain aligned and adaptive as priorities evolve, initiatives shift, and sequencing changes are required
- Coordinate execution across business units, enterprise partners, and external stakeholders
Governance, Risk & Decision Support
- Design and manage governance forums supporting executive decision-making and escalation management
- Surface risks, delivery constraints, trade-offs, and resource concerns proactively with actionable recommendations
- Partner with senior leadership to resolve blockers, maintain momentum, and drive enterprise alignment across highly matrixed teams
- Ensure governance and reporting structures support effective transformation execution at enterprise scale
Performance Management & Transparency
- Establish success metrics, dashboards, reporting standards, and executive scorecards that provide transparent visibility into program health and outcomes
- Deliver fact-based, decision-oriented reporting supporting:
- Monthly business reviews
- Executive leadership updates
- Board-level discussions and governance forums
- Ensure reporting consistency, operational transparency, and measurable value realization across the transformation program
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience leading enterprise PMOs, large-scale transformation programs, or strategic execution initiatives within banking or financial services environments
- Proven track record establishing and scaling enterprise program governance frameworks and integrated delivery organizations
- Strong expertise in:

Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting branch transformation, retail banking modernization, or operating model redesign initiatives
- Familiarity with enterprise PMO methodologies, governance tools, and transformation frameworks
- Strong understanding of banking operations, network strategy, and customer experience transformation
- Experience building and mentoring high-performing program delivery organizations
- Ability to operate effectively in highly dynamic, fast-paced enterprise transformation environments
- Experience preparing executive and board-level strategic reporting materials
