A tier-one global bank is seeking a Solution Engineer at the Vice President level to join its enterprise technology organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable technology solutions that align with strategic business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
The Solution Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and architecture leadership to translate business requirements into secure, resilient, and high-performing technical solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and leadership capabilities to support enterprise solution delivery within a highly regulated financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enterprise-level technology solutions aligned with business objectives and architectural standards
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications
- Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on solution architecture, implementation strategies, and technology decisions
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, platforms, and tools that support enterprise solution delivery
- Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and prototypes to validate solution approaches and technical feasibility
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security, compliance, governance, and architectural standards
- Partner with engineering and development teams to support successful implementation and delivery of designed solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and technology team members
- Document architecture decisions, solution designs, technical workflows, and implementation specifications
- Support production environments by troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- Collaborate across cross-functional technology and business teams to ensure alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Proven experience in Solution Engineering, Technical Architecture, or related enterprise technology roles
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, integration patterns, and modern design methodologies
- Experience working with modern technology stacks, distributed systems, and cloud platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions across teams
- Experience working within financial services or highly regulated environments preferred
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, collaborative enterprise environments
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and highly available systems
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and operational resiliency standards
- Experience mentoring engineering teams and supporting enterprise modernization initiatives
