A tier-one global bank is seeking an Enterprise Architecture Solutions Architect at the Vice President level to join its enterprise technology organization. This strategic architecture leadership role is responsible for defining and driving enterprise-wide architectural vision, modernization strategy, and scalable technology solutions aligned with business priorities and enterprise standards.
The Solutions Architect will partner closely with business leadership, engineering teams, enterprise architects, and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, cloud-enabled architectures that support enterprise transformation initiatives across highly regulated banking environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enterprise-level architecture solutions aligned with business objectives and technology strategy
- Lead architectural reviews and provide strategic guidance on technology decisions across enterprise platforms and initiatives
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and senior leadership to translate requirements into scalable technical architectures
- Define, maintain, and enforce enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, design patterns, and governance practices
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their strategic impact and applicability within the organization
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation including:
- Solution designs
- Technical specifications
- Reference architectures
- Integration models
- Governance artifacts
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to engineering teams and junior architects
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise security, risk, resiliency, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Drive modernization initiatives including migration from legacy systems to cloud-native and distributed architectures
- Support strategic technology planning, roadmap development, and enterprise transformation programs
- Collaborate across Agile/Scrum delivery organizations to support scalable and resilient technology delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or related technical leadership roles
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as:
- TOGAF
- Zachman
- Similar enterprise architecture methodologies
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise technology solutions within financial services or highly regulated industries
- Deep expertise in modern architecture patterns including:
- Microservices
- API-first architectures
- Event-driven systems
- Cloud-native solutions
- Expertise with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise integration strategies
- Experience with middleware technologies, enterprise service bus architectures, and integration patterns
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enterprise architecture certifications such as:
- TOGAF
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Azure Solutions Architect
- Google Cloud Architect certifications
- Experience supporting enterprise data architecture and analytics platforms
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure-by-design architecture practices
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements within financial services organizations
- Experience supporting enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives
