Gerald Scales

Senior Adviser

Gerald (Gerry) Scales has spent his entire career, over several decades, in the financial services industry, primarily focused on customer service, including operational and relationship management. He spent 22 years at JPMorgan Chase, rising within the company, holding various positions that allowed his development of both industry knowledge and leadership abilities. This included roles within the Wealth Management and Institutional Securities Processing Businesses.

Gerry then joined Citi, within the U.S. Private Banking Business, managing and growing the U.S. Custody and Escrow Agent Business. During his tenure at Citi, he was asked at various points to manage the Personal Trust Business as well as the reorganization of other businesses within Wealth Management.

In 2015, Gerry joined a boutique financial technology firm, Investors Economic Assurance, that worked with Private Equity Firms on their capital administration needs. During his tenure, he started and grew the customer service area as well as served as Chief Administrative Officer. The firm evolved to a point where it was sold to Alter Domus, a Capital Administration firm out of Luxembourg.

At Core System Partners, Gerry brings deep hands-on experience from decades in the trenches, particularly in vendor strategy, trust product operations, and service delivery models for high-net-worth and institutional clients. His calm, analytical approach has made him a trusted advisor to executives facing vendor rationalization, mergers and divestitures, and regulatory pressures.

Gerry is also involved in several non-for-profit organizations. He received his undergraduate degree at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and an MBA in Finance at Fordham University.
