A leading U.S. commercial bank is undergoing a major payment systems consolidation following a merger and is seeking an experienced PeP+ Developer to support this strategic integration effort. This role is critical to bridging two payment infrastructures, ensuring seamless ACH workflow integration, and maintaining full regulatory compliance throughout the transition.
The PeP+ Developer will play a hands-on role in designing, configuring, and deploying PeP+ interfaces and batch processes to support accurate payment processing and reconciliation during this M&A-driven modernization program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of PeP+ integrations across two merging payment systems.
- Build and test ACH data mapping logic to ensure accurate transfers and reconciliation.
- Develop batch jobs and interfaces for file imports, validation, and error handling within PeP+.
- Partner with QA teams during UAT and regression testing cycles to verify end-to-end workflows.
- Document technical and operational processes to support long-term maintainability.
- Support risk mitigation strategies related to ACH conversion and cutover activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with PeP+ (ACH) systems in a banking environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ACH processing rules, formats, and settlement flows.
- Strong experience integrating PeP+ with internal and external systems during M&A initiatives.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, QA, operations, and compliance teams.
- English language proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with wire, SWIFT, and other payment channels.
- Experience with mainframe-based COBOL or JCL workflows.
- Background in payments compliance, batch file automation, and cutover planning.
- Previous M&A or core system migration experience is a significant advantage.
