A US credit union is seeking a Senior Third Party Risk Management Analyst to join its team.
Location: Hybrid – New York, NY
The Senior Third Party Risk Management Analyst will play a critical role in managing and mitigating risks associated with third party relationships. This position requires a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, risk assessment methodologies, and vendor management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of third party vendors and service providers
- Evaluate vendor controls, security practices, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor ongoing vendor performance and risk profiles throughout the vendor lifecycle
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper due diligence is performed on new and existing vendors
- Review and analyze vendor contracts, service level agreements, and other documentation
- Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management and committees
- Track and report on key risk indicators and metrics related to third party relationships
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including FFIEC guidance, GLBA, and other relevant standards
- Assist in the development and enhancement of third party risk management policies and procedures
- Coordinate vendor audits and assessments as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and records within the vendor management system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in third party risk management, vendor management, or related risk function within financial services
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to third party risk
- Experience conducting vendor risk assessments and due diligence reviews
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Proficiency with vendor management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Professional certifications such as CRCM, CRISC, or similar credentials preferred
Compensation: $105K/yr – $120K/yr
