We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a core banking modernization project at a U.S.-based Credit Union. This role is crucial for documenting current-state processes and technical architecture across business lines, setting the foundation for future-state planning. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, is adept at cross-functional collaboration, and thrives in structured, high-accountability environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather current-state process data.
- Create process maps and workflow diagrams aligned to industry standards (e.g., BPMN).
- Document system architecture across the core banking ecosystem, focusing on integration points and data flows.
- Work closely with technology, compliance, and operations teams to validate findings.
- Support traceability from current to future-state planning efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within core banking transformation programs.
- Proven experience mapping current-state processes and systems in the financial services domain.
- Familiarity with core banking platforms and technical architecture documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience working with Credit Unions or Community Banks is highly valued.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent).
- Exposure to core banking systems migration or replacement programs.
- Understanding of compliance, risk, and audit considerations in banking operations.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex system landscapes.
