We are seeking a seasoned Business Architect to support a private banking client undergoing a significant Core Banking transformation initiative. This role is pivotal in shaping strategic alignment across business functions and technology, ensuring architectural coherence as the client modernizes and integrates core platforms. The ideal candidate will bridge strategic goals and operational execution across multiple workstreams and domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, refine, and govern the business architecture blueprint for the core banking transformation program.
- Align business and IT strategies by mapping capabilities, value streams, and functional models to the evolving technology stack.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders, IT architects, and transformation leads to ensure integrated delivery of change.
- Drive architectural governance across business domains including lending, payments, deposits, and digital channels.
- Translate complex business objectives into scalable, compliant, and future-ready architectural solutions.
- Facilitate impact assessments and guide architectural decisions across transformation workstreams.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in banking, including 5+ years specifically as a Business Architect.
- Deep knowledge of Private Banking operating models, products, and regulatory considerations.
- Proven experience leading or supporting Core Banking Transformation programs.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to engage C-level stakeholders and business sponsors with confidence and clarity.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with major core banking platforms such as Temenos, Avaloq, or FIS.
- Background in managing hybrid cloud transition strategies within a regulated banking environment.
- Experience with business capability modeling, process frameworks (e.g., BPMN), and value stream mapping.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and agile governance models.
- Prior engagements lasting 12 months or longer, ideally involving regional or global banking programs.
