A large North American bank is seeking a Business Management Program Manager to support its US Compliance function in building a more resilient and scalable compliance risk management capability. This role is critical in driving governance, infrastructure, and operational excellence across compliance programs, particularly within Fair and Responsible Banking. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping a future-focused compliance organization while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

Program Management & Governance

  • Establish and maintain PMO governance frameworks to support compliance initiatives
  • Drive prioritization, execution, and tracking of key programs and projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across compliance, risk, and business teams
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise risk philosophy and strategic direction

Operational Excellence & Infrastructure

  • Lead operational planning and workflow optimization for compliance programs
  • Support day-to-day operations through structured meeting cadences and resource planning
  • Enhance infrastructure and processes to improve scalability and efficiency

Regulatory & Audit Support

  • Lead regulatory exam and audit coordination, including data requests and documentation
  • Track issue remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution
  • Prepare and deliver status reporting for senior leadership and regulators
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and governance documentation aligned with regulatory standards

Strategic Planning & Transformation

  • Facilitate strategic and operational planning across compliance functions
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in compliance structures and processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to reshape and modernize compliance programs
  • Support the development of a strong, enterprise-wide culture of compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in program or project management within financial services or regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, or second line of defense functions
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks and PMO structures
  • Familiarity with regulatory exams, audits, and remediation processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Fair and Responsible Banking or complaints management programs
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in North America
  • Experience driving operational transformation or process optimization initiatives
  • Familiarity with risk management tools, reporting, and governance frameworks
  • Experience supporting long-term compliance transformation programs
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams
