We are seeking a Core Banking Business Analyst to support a core banking transformation initiative for a credit union in the Midwest. This role will focus on requirement gathering, stakeholder engagement, and solution validation for the implementation and optimization of a new core banking system. The analyst will work cross-functionally with business users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure the success of this critical transformation project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements related to the core banking platform.
- Analyze existing workflows, identify gaps, and define solutions that align with the transformation goals.
- Collaborate with vendor and internal teams to translate requirements into functional specifications.
- Support testing, change management, and training efforts throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and support project governance activities.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services or banking industry.
- Experience working with core banking systems (e.g., FIS, Temenos, Finastra, Jack Henry, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of banking products and operational processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in core banking transformations or new system implementations.
- Knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Familiarity with compliance, regulatory reporting, and data migration best practices.
