We are seeking an experienced Core Banking Business Analyst to support a high-impact core banking merger for a U.S.-based credit union. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth integration of systems, data, and processes during a large-scale transformation. You will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology teams to analyze requirements, coordinate migration activities, and help the client organization make informed, timely decisions throughout the merger lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities for a core banking merger, ensuring alignment across functional areas including deposits, loans, general ledger, and payments.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements to support data migration, integration, and system configuration.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications for technology and vendor teams.
- Support development, testing, and readiness activities—including UAT planning, test case creation, and issue triage.
- Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to drive clarity and manage expectations.
- Provide hands-on support during production migration, cutover planning, and go-live activities.
- Assist in training, knowledge transfer, and post-migration stabilization efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Core Banking Business Analyst within a credit union or banking environment.
- Strong understanding of core banking platforms; FISERV DNA experience is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with banking channels including deposits, loans, GL, and payments.
- Ability to analyze and query data using SQL (working proficiency).
- Experience with BPM/process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN) and general testing or integration tools.
- Fluent English communication, written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a primarily remote environment with occasional onsite activities in Oregon.

- Experience contributing to or leading system migrations during mergers or conversions.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, KYC/KYB, and banking operational processes.
- Ability to turn business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
- Familiarity with training, end-user support, and go-live readiness.
- Comfort working within a 6–12 month contract engagement, with the likelihood of extension.
