A credit union is undertaking a core banking migration initiative and is seeking an experienced Core Banking Business Analyst to support this complex transformation. This role is critical to ensuring business requirements, regulatory considerations, and operational workflows are accurately documented and aligned across merging platforms.
The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to support requirements definition, system migration activities, testing, and go-live readiness throughout the merger lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to core banking operations.
- Support core banking migration activities, including data analysis and process alignment.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
- Work with stakeholders across deposits, loans, general ledger, payments, and related channels.
- Support data analysis and validation using SQL and other analytical tools.
- Assist with testing coordination, issue tracking, and validation activities.
- Provide training support and assist with go-live and post-implementation stabilization.
- Ensure requirements and processes align with regulatory and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking or credit union environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting core banking system migrations or mergers.
- Strong understanding of core banking functions, including deposits, loans, GL, and payments.
- Ability to translate business needs into detailed functional and process documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Fiserv DNA core banking platform (strong plus).
- Familiarity with KYC/KYB processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience using BPM tools or process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
- Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and querying.
- Experience supporting testing, integration, and go-live activities.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid — 2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week.
