About the Role:
A large commercial global bank is launching a major core banking system transformation and is seeking a skilled Data Modeler / Data Architect to lead critical data architecture and modeling efforts. This role is instrumental in shaping the data foundation for the bank’s new core platform, supporting long-term scalability and compliance. You will join as a senior-level consultant with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data models that support the implementation of the new core banking system.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, system architects, and developers to ensure data models align with business requirements.
- Perform data mapping, data flow analysis, and logical/physical schema creation.
- Support database platform integration including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
- Establish and maintain data standards, architecture governance, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Senior-level experience in data modeling and architecture in enterprise environments.
- Proven track record with financial services or banking systems—particularly within large global organizations.
- Fluency in English to effectively collaborate with international and local teams.
- Deep understanding of Systematics or other core banking systems.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle Database, MySQL, and SQL Server.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with new core banking system implementation projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing onsite collaboration in New Jersey with remote work.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to advocate for data strategies across business and technical units.
- Adaptability to potentially transition into a long-term, full-time role within the organization.
