A large Northeast regional bank is seeking a Director, Transformation Manager to lead critical organizational change initiatives and drive strategic transformation across the enterprise.

Position Overview

The Director, Transformation Manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing large-scale transformation programs that align with the bank’s strategic objectives. This role requires a seasoned professional who can manage complex projects, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end transformation initiatives across multiple business units and functions
  • Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets
  • Partner with senior leadership to define transformation roadmaps and ensure alignment with strategic priorities
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communications across all levels of the organization
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the transformation lifecycle
  • Drive change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working
  • Establish governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes
  • Coach and mentor project teams to build transformation capabilities across the organization
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform transformation strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in transformation, program management, or management consulting
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex transformation initiatives in financial services
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and regulatory environment
  • Exceptional project management skills with experience using industry-standard methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with change management frameworks and tools
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications preferred

Compensation: $190,000 – $225,000
