A US bank is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join its technology organization.

Location: Remote – United States

Position Overview:

The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for defining and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology solutions. This role serves as a key technical leader, providing strategic direction for technology initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, standards, and principles
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into architectural solutions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact and value to the organization
  • Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps that support business goals and technology modernization
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex, enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Ensure architectural decisions align with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead architecture review boards and governance processes
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, including reference architectures, solution designs, and technical standards
  • Partner with application development teams to ensure solutions adhere to architectural principles
  • Identify opportunities for technology consolidation, standardization, and optimization
  • Mentor and develop technical staff on architecture best practices and methodologies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in technology roles with increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or solution architecture roles
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or similar)
  • Deep understanding of modern application architectures, including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of banking systems and financial services technology preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to engage executive leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation considerations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Enterprise architecture certification (TOGAF, etc.)
  • Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of data architecture and analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and modern software development methodologies

Compensation: $180000 – $203050 per year
