A tier-one global bank is seeking an Executive Director, Project Manager for Business Transformation Services.

Location: Purchase, NY

Role Overview:

The Executive Director, Project Manager will lead critical business transformation initiatives, driving strategic change across the organization. This role requires a seasoned professional who can manage complex, enterprise-wide projects while collaborating with senior stakeholders across multiple business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale business transformation initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Partner with senior business leaders and technology teams to define project objectives and deliverables
  • Manage cross-functional teams and coordinate activities across multiple workstreams
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate executive-level steering committee meetings and provide regular status updates to senior leadership
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and quality standards
  • Drive change management activities to support successful adoption of new processes and systems
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party resources as needed
  • Mentor and develop junior project management staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of project management experience in financial services
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to C-suite executives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience with project management tools and software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial services operations

Compensation: $150,000 – $250,000
