A major global bank is seeking a Managing Director to lead the modernization of the Core Banking platform across 12 countries. This role facilitates the path towards the future of Global Core Banking, ensuring standardization of products, capabilities, and flows across various lines of business.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the path towards the future of Global Core Banking as a senior technology Managing Director
- Lead modernization of the Core Banking platform across 12 countries
- Lead modernization transformation efforts across multiple strategic global programs
- Ensure standardization of Core Banking products, capabilities, and flows across various lines of business
- Manage a large-scale banking platform transformation project across multiple countries
- Develop roles, responsibilities, and structure teams to ensure greatest impact and efficient resource use
- Establish strong governance on capability and scope definition through a Business Design Authority forum to monitor and track functional decisions
- Identify ways to streamline the platform and architecture while collaborating with other Operations & Technology teams to align technology solutions to standards
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions and communicate with external parties
- Hold end-to-end ownership of key program decisions, including end-to-end solution and interactions between the core banking platform and partners
- Establish a robust framework to lead the multiyear modernization program across all products and geographies in scope
Compensation
Estimated base salary: $250,000 – $350,000 per year (Managing Director level). Total compensation including bonus and deferred comp estimated at $500,000 – $750,000.
Qualifications
- Highly experienced senior technology leader at Managing Director level
- Spanish speaking required (LATAM-focused transformation across 12 countries)
- Extensive experience in banking platform transformation and modernization
- Strong governance and program management skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions
- Experience with core banking platform architecture and operating model design
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
