A highly regarded credit union in New Jersey is seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to lead and evolve its enterprise operations. This executive-level position will be pivotal in driving modernization, performance, and service excellence across retail banking, back-office operations, and member support functions—ensuring seamless delivery across all operational touchpoints. You will play a central role in shaping operational strategy, overseeing transformation initiatives, and ensuring the institution continues to meet and exceed member expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide operations strategy, focusing on modernization, efficiency, and scalability.
- Oversee daily operations across retail banking, member services, and back-office functions.
- Drive transformation initiatives involving FIS IBS and associated digital banking systems, payments processing, and vendor platforms.
- Manage and optimize vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Champion operational excellence by improving workflow solutions and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational objectives with strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards applicable to credit union operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 15+ years in financial services, with at least 7 years in senior operational leadership roles.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of credit union operations, including retail banking, member services, and back-office processing.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with FIS IBS core banking systems and related operational frameworks.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
- Language: Fluent in English.

- Track record of successfully leading operational transformation projects within the credit union or banking sector.
- Familiarity with digital banking innovations and document workflow solutions.
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid – On-site 2–3 days per week preferred.

Full-Time / Permanent
Base Salary: $225,000 – $250,000 plus performance-based bonus.
