A large Midwest regional bank is seeking a Head of Product Delivery to lead all product and portfolio delivery strategy for its Bankcard line of business. This role is critical in driving revenue growth and profitability by ensuring seamless execution of credit card products and capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will bridge product strategy, technology, operations, and vendor ecosystems to deliver scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Delivery & Execution Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of credit card products from concept through launch and post-implementation optimization
- Translate product strategy into actionable roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes
- Oversee complex programs including new product launches, platform migrations, and portfolio integrations
- Ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals
Strategic Planning & Growth Enablement
- Develop long-term delivery strategies focused on growth, profitability, and competitive positioning
- Evaluate and define modernization roadmaps for the product delivery ecosystem
- Build business cases to support investment decisions and capability enhancements
- Establish annual goals and performance targets for the Bankcard line of business
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Align stakeholders across product, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and servicing teams
- Partner with internal leaders and external vendors to deliver integrated solutions
- Coordinate across issuing platforms, digital banking, rewards, fraud, and servicing systems
- Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and integration delivery
Market Insight & Innovation
- Monitor industry trends and conduct market research to identify customer needs and innovation opportunities
- Drive new product concepts and enhancements aligned with evolving customer expectations
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing product delivery organization
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities
- Ensure strong succession planning and talent pipeline development
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in product delivery, program management, or product leadership within financial services
- Strong expertise in credit card or bankcard products and lifecycle management
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex product initiatives
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations
- Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks in banking
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in digital banking, payments, or card platforms
- Familiarity with issuing platforms, rewards systems, fraud management, and servicing operations
