A tier-one global bank is seeking an Implementation Manager at the Vice President level to lead the successful implementation of banking solutions and services for institutional clients.
This client-facing leadership role is responsible for overseeing complex implementation programs from initiation through delivery while ensuring exceptional client experience, operational excellence, and alignment with enterprise standards. The Implementation Manager will partner closely with internal business teams, technology organizations, operations groups, and external clients to coordinate seamless onboarding and implementation activities across multiple workstreams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong implementation management expertise, institutional banking knowledge, and the ability to lead strategic client engagements within fast-paced financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Implementation Leadership
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects for institutional banking clients, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Oversee implementation activities from project initiation through operational readiness and post-implementation support
- Serve as the primary client contact during implementation engagements, managing communications, expectations, and escalations
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across:
- Technology
- Operations
- Product Management
- Sales
- Client Service organizations
- Ensure alignment across internal stakeholders and external client teams to support successful implementation outcomes
- Manage dependencies, deliverables, and execution timelines across multiple concurrent initiatives
Project & Program Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive:
- Project plans
- Timelines and milestones
- Status reporting
- Governance documentation
- Risk and issue logs
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate risks throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Ensure implementation initiatives remain aligned with business objectives, delivery expectations, and operational standards
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Drive process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing implementation efficiency, scalability, and client satisfaction
- Contribute to development and refinement of implementation methodologies, governance practices, and onboarding standards
- Support operational excellence initiatives across institutional client implementation functions
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all implementation activities comply with:
- Regulatory requirements
- Internal governance policies
- Operational risk standards
- Enterprise controls
- Support governance reporting and operational transparency across implementation engagements
Leadership & Team Development
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to junior implementation professionals and team members
- Foster a collaborative, client-focused, and execution-oriented team culture
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in:
- Implementation Management
- Project Management
- Client Onboarding within financial services environments
- Proven track record successfully managing complex, multi-workstream implementation initiatives
- Strong understanding of institutional banking products, services, and client delivery processes
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal capabilities
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels and client environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience using enterprise project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and reporting tools
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced and highly dynamic environments
- PMP or similar project/program management certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting institutional banking implementations within global financial services organizations
- Familiarity with enterprise governance, operational risk management, and compliance practices
- Experience coordinating complex technology and operational delivery initiatives
- Strong understanding of treasury services, payments, client onboarding, or banking operations environments
- Experience mentoring junior project managers or implementation specialists
