A large regional credit union is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their IT Project Management team.
Location: Fully Remote — Remote – Sacramento, CA
This role is responsible for leading and managing complex IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple complex IT projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, standards, and best practices
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management practice
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior project managers and team members
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in IT project management
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with project management tools and software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be located in California for remote work eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial services or credit union industry
- Agile/Scrum certification
- Experience with enterprise-level technology implementations
Compensation: $123,600.00 – $130,000.00
