A large national consumer bank is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Project Management to join its Global Payment Network (Network Products and Platforms) team. This role is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that support and enhance the bank’s payment network infrastructure, products, and platform capabilities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong project leadership skills, experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives, and the ability to drive execution in dynamic financial services and technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex business and technology initiatives within the Global Payment Network organization.
- Manage cross-functional teams across product, technology, operations, and business units to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery strategies.
- Drive strategic initiatives related to network products, payment platforms, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities and governance standards.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across project management processes and delivery methodologies.
- Navigate ambiguity and evolving business priorities while maintaining focus on execution and results.
- Prepare project status updates, executive reporting, and stakeholder presentations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management within financial services, payment networks, technology, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience collaborating effectively with both technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and execution management capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with global payment networks, payment products, or network platform technologies.
- Background supporting infrastructure modernization or platform development initiatives.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale technology or payments transformation projects.
- Knowledge of financial services operations, payment ecosystems, and transaction processing platforms.
