A large national consumer bank is seeking a Principal Associate, Project Management to join its Business Cards & Payments Strategic Delivery team. This role sits within the organization’s Command Center and supports some of the company’s highest-priority initiatives across Business Cards and Payments.

The Strategic Delivery team leads complex, high-impact initiatives ranging from new product launches and feature enhancements to foundational transformation programs that drive growth and operational excellence. The successful candidate will partner with leaders across the organization to deliver strategic outcomes, solve complex business challenges, and influence enterprise-wide priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead moderate to large-scale cross-functional initiatives spanning Business Cards and Payments organizations
  • Design, develop, and manage project plans, delivery roadmaps, milestones, and execution strategies within dynamic and complex environments
  • Partner with business and project stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical recommendations supporting successful delivery outcomes
  • Drive solutions to complex operational and strategic problems by balancing competing priorities and business trade-offs
  • Manage a broad set of stakeholders and influence decision-making across all organizational levels
  • Oversee project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, and delivery risks
  • Communicate project status, risks, impediments, and key updates to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Deliver measurable business outcomes and contribute directly to organizational growth and strategic priorities
  • Influence and manage stakeholder relationships ranging from VP-level leadership to operational teams
  • Support delivery of initiatives including:
    • New product launches
    • Product and feature enhancements
    • Operational transformation programs
    • Growth-enablement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field
  • Strong experience in project or program management within financial services, payments, or product delivery organizations
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities across multiple organizational levels
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, resources, risks, and budgets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and partnership-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and quickly establish structure and execution discipline
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience within Business Cards, Commercial Cards, Payments, or consumer banking environments
  • Familiarity with Agile, Hybrid, or enterprise delivery methodologies
  • Experience launching new products or leading enterprise product enhancement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and customer experience strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in highly matrixed organizations
  • Experience supporting strategic transformation and growth initiatives
