We’re seeking a Senior Program Manager to act as the right-hand partner to the Program Director leading a major Core Banking Transformation at a regional bank. This is a hands-on leadership role managing the delivery engine of a multi-year modernization program, including coordination of internal and external workstreams, enforcement of governance practices, and ensuring continuity across multiple complex dependencies. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of a large-scale core banking initiative impacting enterprise-wide systems and operations .


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior delivery lead, directly supporting the Program Director across all aspects of the transformation lifecycle.
  • Manage program governance, enforce delivery structure, and maintain momentum across workstreams.
  • Oversee coordination between internal departments, external vendors, and integration partners.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and visibility into program status, milestones, and risks.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment and anticipate blockers, driving resolutions proactively.
  • Act as a strategic operator with the ability to pivot between high-level oversight and tactical execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Senior-level program management experience within large banking transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience with core banking systems such as FIS, Fiserv, or Temenos (general knowledge acceptable).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile deliveryprogram governance frameworks, and associated toolsets.
  • Proficiency with JIRAMS ProjectConfluence, and Office 365.
  • Ability to present to and manage up to executive leadership.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as Chief-of-Staff or second-in-command to transformation leads.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise-level change, regulatory considerations, and phased cutovers.
  • Confident communication style and executive presence.
  • Skilled at structuring, tracking, and course-correcting large transformation initiatives.

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite preferred at New Jersey HQ
