A major Canadian global bank is seeking a Program Manager De Novo to lead a strategic branch expansion initiative. This role is critical in driving the successful execution of a large-scale program to support the opening of new branch locations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end program delivery for large-scale branch expansion initiatives, including planning, execution, and implementation
  • Drive execution strategies to mitigate risks and achieve desired business outcomes
  • Manage cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, vendors, and external partners
  • Provide strategic input and act as a trusted advisor to business leadership
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reconciliation processes
  • Monitor program performance, track progress, and resolve issues proactively
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and insights to support decision-making
  • Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption and project effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and enterprise standards
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors and manage third-party relationships
  • Oversee all project lifecycle activities, ensuring completion of all deliverables and documentation
  • Influence stakeholders and align priorities across multiple business units

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing complex, large-scale programs within financial services or related industries
  • Strong expertise in program and project management methodologies
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives from inception through delivery
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Fluency in English required

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with branch expansion, retail banking, or network strategy initiatives
  • Background in large commercial or global banking environments
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and third-party relationships
  • Knowledge of change management frameworks and adoption strategies
