A large Northeast regional bank is seeking a strategic program management professional to lead the Program Management Office for a critical distribution transformation initiative. This role is central to modernizing distribution capabilities, ensuring alignment across business and technology functions, and driving successful execution of enterprise-wide strategic programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) for the Evolve & Integrate Distribution initiative
  • Define and implement program governance frameworks, standards, and processes
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, and roadmaps across multiple workstreams
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business, technology, and operations teams
  • Monitor program health, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide executive-level reporting on program status, milestones, and key decisions
  • Manage program-level resource planning and allocation
  • Drive accountability for deliverables across workstream leads
  • Establish and track KPIs and success metrics
  • Lead change management initiatives and stakeholder communication strategies
  • Facilitate steering committees and executive decision-making forums
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, technology standards, and strategic priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of program or project management experience in financial services or related industries
  • 5+ years leading large-scale, complex transformation programs
  • Proven experience establishing and leading Program Management Offices
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels, sales operations, or customer experience domains
  • Expertise in program management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence)
  • Fluency in English required

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Experience in banking, wealth management, or financial services distribution
  • Background in digital transformation or technology modernization initiatives
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting distribution operations
  • Experience with organizational change management frameworks
  • Familiarity with SAFe or other Agile scaling frameworks
  • Experience supporting long-term enterprise transformation programs
